Colour Swatch Evaluation

By sectioning off an area of my photo, this gave me a parameter to work within in order to create my colour swatch (see figure 1). This allowed me to select colours of similar muted tones in order to create a swatch that flowed but also consisted of contrasting colours. I feel this swatch works successfully due to the muted tones and the variations I’ve been able to create, due to the inclusion of a variety of shades and colours chosen form my photograph. I feel the lighter shades have worked more successfully as these compliment each other more successfully, than the darker colours which I’ve found within my photo however these further highlight the lighter colours due to the contrast created. Overall I feel my colour swatch is successful however some of the darker colours a quite similar so when used in conjunction with one an other appear to disappear and can be difficult to identify.
