Initial Ideas for wayfinding system

In order to respond to studio brief 1 I've decided to create a supergraphic style wayfinding system based on the independent place such as retail shops, restaurants/cafe within leeds. I've conducted some initial research based on my experience in leeds to create a list of potential shops which may feature within this system. The supergraphic style system will feature a pattern/identifying marker on the building of each independent establishment within the system and potentially single lines leading to each destination, with each destination potentially being connected. The identifying marker may differ depending on the type of place is being identified therefore each section can be identified more easily as retail shops will not have the same pattern as restaurants or cafe's. Upon receiving feedback its been suggested that I could also create a rating system for these places in order to create a more subjective system. I feel this is an interesting idea that I will explore further through experimenting and developing my wayfinding system.
