Secret 7 Final outcome

Upon reflection of the final outcome, I feel the sleeve successfully fulfils the brief as it conveys the message behind the song in an interesting manner without revealing the name of the song, lyrics or artist. Furthermore this hidden message is heightened through the use of embossing which hides the message within the sleeve. The simplicity of the design creates a powerful impact on the audience and also symbolises the power of grief felt by the band. In relation to the typeface used on the sleeve (Big Caslon) which has been used by Elbow for previous branding allowing the cover to further hint to the artist without revealing any information about them directly. The only issue when producing the sleeve is the slight creases within the paper due to having to soak the stock in water to be able to emboss correctly, however these are small imperfections that don't affect the overall aesthetic. Furthermore if more time was available the revers of the sleeve could be embossed with the year Bryan Glancy was born and died (1966-2006).
