Legs: Figures 1-2
In relation to the legs vinyl has been used for the bulk to match the side to the rest of the machine, which also allowed the screws to be hidden creating a more seamless design. Vinyl was also used for the top of the pieces of wood and inside legs to ensure there was no exposed wood.
Backglass: Figure 2
Cobalt blue acrylic paint has been used on the sides of the MDF used for the backglass in order to finish off the piece as using vinyl wasn't appropriate due to the rough fibres on the side from where the piece has been cut.
Inside: Figures 3-5
The inside sides of the machine have been painted to blend in with the playing board, creating a more professional finish. In additon any exposed MDF such as the ball collection point has also been painted in order to avoid unfinished edges and exposed wood. Furthermore the board has been painted to amend some slight misalignment with the holes when placing the large sheet of vinyl on. This also allows no mdf to be visible as the holes themselves are blue matching the vinyl.
