A1 Poster: Design developments

Figure 1 has been inspired by hexagons, structure and form which is a key feature within the exhibition and across the artists. The focus on the connecting points within the image represent the transition from idea to object which is the main focus of the exhibition. The use of white within the text allows for the information to be visible whilst still making reference to the greys within the image itself and not distracting from the image. Consequently the use helvetica further adds to the idea of portraying the relevant information without distracting from the image due to its simple and neutral characteristics. Featuring the V&A logo in the bottom right hand side of the posters pays reference to existing posters they use which tend to feature the logo in this location, however the use of silver within the logo creates a unique and interesting feature for these poster. However upon reflection use of a silver logo creates a cheap and unsophisticated impression of the V&A. Initially this design was to be used as my final poster however upon reflection I feel the experimentation in figure 2 is more successful.
