Typography Experimentations

The typography (Avenir Next Condensed - ultra light) initially featured within the designs (see figure 1) failed to effectively reflect the exhibition as a whole as it didn't relate to the design on the posters and those which would be featured within the exhibition itself. Therefore the typography has been developed using the Ls featured within the designs to create each letterform to achieve a more consistent design (see figure 2). Currently the most successful experimentations are the first three (see figure 2) as these appear to be the most legible however I plan to gain feedback to finalise the decision. The use of grey within the typography works well as when placed on the posters (see figure 3) black appears to harsh and out of place next to the delicately cut out designs. The manipulation of the Ls allows for more structure letterforms to be created which more effectively reflect the designs featured on the posters and handout for the exhibition Arc.
