Dermalogica's branding is very simple but effective as it allows the company to portray a helpful and clinical approach to skincare which I personally feel is very successful.
Dermalogica’s use of a simple san serif font allows the company to represent the clean and simple nature of its products in order to get customers to trust brand and make them believe that their products will work solve their skin problems. Additionally this use of a simple typeface highlights the scientific side to Deramologica’s products showing that their backed by research allowing the customer to trust the brand more easily. The use of close kerning adds to the clean image as well as allowing the logo to look professional and sophisticated so is more trusted by potential customers and fits within its position in the market as the modern logo attracts younger women between 18-25 and gives the impression of a quality product justifying the high price.
This logo works well on many platforms such as on products and promotional material due to its clear and legible nature due to the chosen typeface. Therefore allowing this logo to be very successful as it is easily recognisable to potential customers.
