Overall the final outcome successfully fulfils the brief as the flag celebrates fan culture associated with football chants through the use of a fan memorabilia. Due to the varied nature of football chants and the multiple aspects to the genre focusing the flag on how loud each group of fans are based on the teams within the Premier League allows the flag to comment on the whole of fan culture within football chants. Throughout the design process I found this aspect difficult as most chants are club specific therefore it wasn't possible to look at one specific chant as this wouldn't have celebrated the genre as a whole as it would of alienated other aspects. In addition the use of focusing on the Premier League allowed multiple visual cues to be developed such as colour and typeface used which speaks to fans of the genre who will instantly recognise the colours used by the Premier League. Furthermore this idea of communicating to existing fans is shown through the terminology used within the flag through the use of shortened versions of each club name. In addition the layout of the flag looks at the most common formation in football 4-4-2 which would also only be recognisable to those interested in football and the genre. Therefor the final design successfully showcases a key element of the music genre as football chants begin and end with the fans as they are the creators, producers and performs who all identify under a certain team. In relation to the production of the flag its been printed to a high standard with only a few white cut marks on the outside, however this doesn't effect the overall appearance of the flag. If more resources where available the designer could of produced a larger more life size flag, however the dimensions used fit well for use within an exhibition. Furthermore as the order to the teams is based on sound 'SWA' could be reduced slightly as it appear bigger than 'LIV' due to the letterforms used. However when compared 'SWA' is smaller however visually still looks larger. Despite these minor imperfections the flag has been finished to a high standard and successfully comments on a key aspect of football chants, the fans.
