In order to help finalise the branding I've gained feedback on my developed designs (seee figures 1-4) in order to identify which is most successful. Fibres (see figures 3-4) more successful than hands (see figures 1-4), hand works as award but doesn't need to be focus of the branding as the security fibres and MRC are a more developed and informed concept. However there is an issue of readability within the poster due to the bold nature of the fibres (see figures 3). Therefore it was suggested that the posters could be informed by another official document to support the other material looking at a passport. In addition it was suggested to experiment with how many fibres you can see on the poster, could the poster have less to the text is more visible? In relation to production processed it was suggested to look at foiling the hand within the program and invite to act as a stamp of approval. However due to the limited facilities for foiling this should only been included within the final design if it can be produced to a high standard. Due to the design being based on the authentication process the focus of the branding has become that it looks to be imitating official documents so the branding appears real but on close inspection you can identify it as fake. This lead to the idea to look at bright neon colours for the branding as fake security fibres are often much brighter when shone under UV light.
In order to develop the posters I asked my fellow students to identify different official documents I could use within the designs:
- Degree
- Will
- Birth Certificate
- Driving License
- Citerzenship card
- P45
- Payslip
