Upon self reflection of my developed flag ideas I decided to gain tutor feedback to determine how best to develop the designs as I was unsure about my existing designs. Both myself and my tutor felt the disjointed layout (see figures 1-2) was more interesting however lack relevance with the ordered experiments being too boring and safe. Furthermore they failed to convey the idea of a flag as the design was long and portrait instead of the classic landscape flag shape (see figure 3). In relation to the colour experiments the green and purple was identified as most successful as the use of purple and pink looked to garish and girly (see figures 1-3) which wouldn't speak to the whole fan culture associated with football chants. Furthermore it was suggested to experiment with layout based on the formations within football to see if that would allow for a interesting more informed layout to be developed. Furthermore it was suggested to explore the link between the levels of atmosphere and position of player on the pitch e.g; striker, defender, mid-field.
