In order to generate ideas on what to feature within the 60 sec documentary potential issues and topics where brainstormed (see figure 1). The most interesting idea generation technique was using influential people and inventions that had been featured on a google doodle, to raise more awareness about those featured as people rarely click to find out anything other than who the doodle is for. Once a few people had been selected I researched into each briefly choosing Charles-Michel de L'Eppe to research further as I found the work he did for deaf people interesting and also thought he was less well known than other influential people I looked in to (see figure 2-3). Due to the time sensitive nature of the brief (5 days) the main elements of research where conducted on Charles as I didn't have time to throughly research other options. This is due to the time intensive nature of animation which was the chosen outcome for the documentary as filming wasn't possible as the events have already happened.
