Tutor and Peer Feedback:

Within this tutorial I gained feedback on the work I'd done so far for OUGD603 in order to make sure I was on track and the work I had produced was of a high standard. Consequently all agreed that the creative advertising collaboration and penguin covers (see figures 1-3) had been finished to a high standard and where complete. However it was suggested that my nest submission could be pushed further and a typeface produced based on the typographic treatment within the poster due to the strong concept behind the piece (see figure 4). I also gained feedback on the Library Paintings logo variations I have produced, with many liking the use of [] within the logo and also found the use of the blueprint interesting. Furthermore the colour blue based on the colour of the walls within the library room was also appreciated as it enhanced the concept of the logos (see figures 5-6). Overall this crit was helpful as it was good to know that I'm on the right track and the work I'm producing is to a high standard. I plan to develop the typeface for my nest submission and potentially create a type specimen to showcase the mirrored element of the typeface.
