Small co-op based in Chapelford who print various outcomes, specialising in Zines. Footprint are a workers cooperative, owned by workers and run by workers consisting of 5 workers, who are payed equal wages. Started in 2000 when a ground of enviromental activists inherited a litho press and exposing press. However when they learned more about the press they discovered the press wasn't very environmentally friendly which resulted in the move to risograph printing. Work with lots of other co-ops within Leeds such as Leeds Printing co-op. All workers are part-time so have a better work-life balance as they get to get paid for their hobby and are passionate about what they are doing compared with working in a commercial sense. Cooperative is founded on the bases of enviromental activism is still relevant although each worker has there own causes they're campaigning for/ are involved in. They will also turn down work because of ethics, if one person isn't happy to print no workers will print. Conscious about there waste and impact on the environment therefor only use soy ink rather than toner and only ship as far as Northern Ireland.
