Product Range Distribution: Survey Analysis

Upon reviewing the results of my survey which aims to identify how many people believe fake news headlines I found that those that are commonly featured in the news such as those surround Brexit or Trump where easily discredited but those surrounding less well know topics where harder for people to distinguish. This is supported by multiple people answering false to 'A passenger was allowed to boards a flight after his bomb was confiscated' which was in fact true. However in contrast headlines which featured statements which where in line with peoples beliefs or perceptions about a certain topic mainly Trump found it harder to distinguish as many people believed that Trump fired 14 muslim federal judges which was false, however this is a more believable statement due to previous comments made by Trump compared to 'Pope Francis endorsed Donald Trump during the 2016 US presidential election. These results are inline with the theory of post-truth politics as the more believable statements speaks to peoples emotions and personal perceptions and beliefs rather than just being purely outrageous such as 'Pope Francis endorsed Donald Trump during the 2016 US presidential election'.
