Uncertainmedia.com is a search engine for news, users can type in a topic or words and a snippet of the top stories relating to that topic will appear (see figure 1-2). This simple representation of news today conveys the confusion and overwhelming sensation many feel when reading different news stories due to the view only see small snippets of film with the sound from each clip playing over each other. Furthermore this representation can allow the viewer to easily identify those involved within a certain topic as they should appear in more than one of the top stories shown, for example if fake news is put in nearly all the results feature Donald Trump due to his fixation of the topic. However if you open this topic up more and search for post-truth politics a variety of stories are shown almost non including Trump. This simple representation of the world today is particularly interesting as if reflects the current state of affairs at the specific moment your viewing the site and is constantly changing and evolving in the same way the politics does all over the world. I find this aspect of the website particularly intersting as such a simple topic can work so well to communicate current affairs from around the world in one unbiased space as the engine doesn't alter any story but simple shows the top stories at that time. However it could be argued that this site can spread fake news as it shows the stories which are most popular, this doesn't necessarily make them correct as they all originate from different media outlets and are not verified. Despite this you can't actually read any of the articles themselves so its more of a quick representation of the world news rather than a news sharing platform.
