Product Range Distribution: Post–Post–Truth by Wax Studios

Post–Post–Truth is a developing streetwear/ advocacy collective that is deeply concerned with the current political climate. Post–Post–Truth looks to a time when public discourse and debate will be supported by facts, corroborated and observed, instead of by feeling and emotion. Furthermore it looks to a time when the loudest person in the room won't be noticed due to outlandish headlines but rather one that upholds journalistic standards to portray an unbiased report on current events. The Post-Post–Truth brand features bum bags and t-shirts to raise money for independent non-profit media organisations whilst raising awareness for post truth politics in order to insight change. The interesting aspect to Post-Post–Truth is that normally streetwear brands aim to be based on a certain aesthetic whereas this collective are seriously concerned ('deeply concerned about the future of journalism in the US and worldwide') about the state of journalism world wide and how ready people are to believe fake news as it appeals to their emotions so they don't think to investigate to discover if its true. The brand also explores how far the term post-truth will go as we are now moving towards a time where we recognise fake news in the post-truth era and are looking to rebel against the current state of journalism and politics. In relation to the design of the clothing/branding the use of a serif typefaces give an official feel to the clothing, giving the impression it belongs to a particular political movement.
