Beer Identities: Development

Upon receiving feedback from my tutor based on the idea of creating illustrations to represent each personality, I've decided to represent the personality through the process of the book. In order to conduct experiments I will use beer and the title of each illustration in order to determine how best to modify the book/ layout.

Initial Ideas:
Paper treatment:
– soak the paper in beer for as many hours that the person is in the pub for.
– Use a chemical used in the brewing process to treat the paper.
– heat the paper as during the brewing process water is heated in order to engage the fermentation processes, more damaged the paper longer in pub/more drunk the personality is

Layout changes: see figure 1
– follows the grid less as the book goes on to show the journey of drinking, as the publication is likely to be featured/sold in bars/pubs.
– text becomes blurred as you go through the book
– Layout breaks grid depending on the personality, e.g; more drunk more morphed
– same word throughout the book, show change in word through traits of each personality

Stock Ideas:
–Ttyrek paper (see figure 2)
– Matt paper
– Cork/beer mats
