Beer Identities: Rational
A typographic publication to showcase the different type of people who drink craft beer from the eyes of the bar staff, featuring phrases or anecdotes about each personality. Throughout this publication the layout of each page and typography will reflect each personality, with the dialog of the publication following the stages of a trip to the pub. Therefor the personalities which drink the most will be placed towards the back. Furthermore the book will also become harder to read as you progress through the use of unbound pages, paper folds and inserts to create an interactive and confusing experience for the reader. The size of the publication, a scale up beer matt, will allow the publication to be read within the pub/bar so you can follow your night of drink through the publication. the use of digital print to produce this publication allows it to be produced easily and cheaply as the publication will be given out in bars for free or given out when you purchase a pint/can of craft beer. The use of perfect binding allows the individual pages to be bound easily allowing for the incorporations of the different pages and processes.
