In order to build on feedback gained within crits I've developed illustrations for each tutor which will be included within individual books representing the time spent with each tutor whilst offering helpful tips about both the modules and tutors themselves. Ambers illustrations proved difficult initially when trying to create an accurate face/head shape including hair (see figure 1). When adding features it was difficult to create an un-childlike drawing as some experimentation (see figure 2-3) appeared quite childlike due to the simple line drawings used, causing the representation of age to be difficult. The development of creating lines/gaps within the fringe allows for a less block and bulky illustration to be created, as before the heavy nature of the fridge/hair in figure 1 created an unrealistic representation of Amber as the hair became the main focus, attracting too much attention making the illustration appear square and ridged (see figures 1,2 and 4). Throughout the development processes the hair became the main issue as it was difficult to illustrate a three dimensional aspect in order to avoid the drawing appearing flat which can be seen in earlier experimentations (see figure 1-2). However these experimentations also failed to effectively represent Amber, as making the hair three-dimensional made the head too rounded which lead to the developments seen in figure four featuring a simplified illustration which allowed the hair to look more realistic but still remain flat in order to create a simple but accurate illustration as seen in figure 5.
