The animation process for this puzzle was fairly straight forward as I have already done the two others that would be featured within the social media campaign. Initially, the box on its own moved with the additional elements such as arrows and timer appearing once the box had finished flipping. However this didn't fit the puzzle very well and also didn't give enough reference to what the boxes whereas they were spinning (see figures 1-2). Therefore the other elements such as numbers and arrows where made 3-d and to spin alongside the box for a better introduction to the puzzle. In relation to the direction the puzzle spins I decided to have this spin differently in order to make the animation more exciting as I didn't want each animation to spin the same (see figure 3). The name and time appear as the animation stops spinning as I felt having these 3-d and animated would be too much, making the text less legible. Furthermore these elements are more complimentary as they give a greater understanding as to what the puzzle is rather than being a major part of the puzzle itself (see figure 4). Overall this process has worked well, allowing for professional, high-quality animations to be produced.
