Based on tutor feedback, I've decided to develop my submission for Nest into a full typeface based on the typographic treatment within the print. Therefore I needed to develop an alphabet in upper and lower case following the same treatment, which was a straight forward process as I already had the treatment develop therefore it just needed to be implemented on each character (see figures 1-4). Throughout the typeface GT American Trial extended bold has been used. Black and white has been used for the basis of the type to demonstrate the concept that those effected by the adonis complex can't see how muscular they are which is best demonstrated using black as the filled text is difficult to see (see figure 5). Other colour combinations have been explored which aesthetically look nice but don't fully represent the concept (see figures 6-7). The use of more than one colour confuses the concept as the filled text becomes easier to see, however having the outline a different colour works as it highlights the outlines more as this represents what those effected see in the mirror (see figure 6).
