In order to further develop the use of the timeline within a digital campaign, I've started to animate based on tutor and peer feedback. This feedback suggested changing the dated from the original timeline and focusing the timeline on one event. The timeline would feature lots of different headlines (fake/fast news) and then once you hit digital subscription/ you subscribed your give one solid trustworthy headline from The Times/Sunday Times. Initially I thought of multiple ways this could be animated such as suing trim paths to have the line draw itself, however when this avenue was explored it was difficult to fit have the line draw itself and move so the whole line would fit within a social media friendly screen size (see figure 1). Due to the length of the timeline the trim path would only work if the composition size was the size of the full timeline which wouldn't fit a social media format. Therefore I explored having the line move along within a square composition with type poping up however this looked a little disjointed. As a result I decided to have the text and line move long the screen as one, stopping on the times headline at the end (see figures 2-4). The animation will be put in a social media mock up to demonstrate how views can click to subscribe to the times from Instagram etc.
